Shepherd's Staff is developed, supported and distributed by Concordia Technology Solutions at Concordia Publishing House. CPH is a not-for-profit organization, making Shepherd's Staff the only church management software both developed and marketed by "church people" for "church people."
Since 1869 CPH, has been the official publishing house of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Little did our founders know (those same founders who insisted only German language be used) that over 130 years later we would be publishing in languages like Java.
In 1994, Concordia Technology Solutions released our first windows software, Shepherd's Staff. Now our software is used in over 6,000 churches nationwide. In October 2006 we released version 7.5 of Shepherd’s Staff. With more than 100 new features and enhancements this is the largest and most powerful version of our program yet. While our products and the publishing industry itself has changed over the many years, and will change in the years to come, our commitment to resourcing churches never shifts. We will continue to develop products that support the ongoing work of the church and simplify the duties of church administration.
One thing truly remains the same throughout the years—the story of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the same—yesterday, today and forever.
